Kamagra Gold 50mg (Sildenafil Citrate)

Kamagra Gold 50mg is a tablet containing 50 mg of sildenafil citrate, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. Sildenafil is the active ingredient in Viagra and belongs to the PDE-5 inhibitor group of medicines.

50 mg is the usual starting dose of sildenafil. The tablet helps a man get and keep an erection when he is sexually stimulated, but it does not cure ED or raise sexual desire.

Sildenafil is a prescription medicine in most countries, so use it only as directed by a doctor.

What is Kamagra Gold 50mg?

What is it used for?

It is used for erectile dysfunction, the inability to get or keep an erection firm enough for intercourse. The causes of erectile dysfunction include blood vessel and heart disease, diabetes, nerve problems, hormone problems, stress, depression, smoking and heavy drinking.

Sildenafil is also sold at a lower strength for pulmonary arterial hypertension, but that is a separate use, prescribed by a specialist. Kamagra Gold 50mg is sold for ED.

How does Kamagra Gold 50mg work?

When a man is sexually stimulated, the body releases nitric oxide, which activates an enzyme that raises a chemical called cyclic GMP in the penis. Cyclic GMP relaxes the muscle in the blood vessels, so more blood flows in and an erection develops. Sildenafil blocks the PDE-5 enzyme that breaks cyclic GMP down, so the effect lasts longer.

Kamagra Gold 50mg dosage

In approved sildenafil labeling the usual dose is 50 mg, taken about an hour before sexual activity. It can be raised to 100 mg, the maximum, or lowered to 25 mg. The dose should be set by your doctor, who may recommend a lower one if you are older or have liver or kidney problems, or take certain other medicines.

• Take no more than one tablet in 24 hours.
• Never increase the dose yourself if it seems weak.
• Do not use someone else’s dose.

How to take Kamagra Gold 50mg

1. Take one tablet about 30 to 60 minutes before sexual activity.
2. Swallow it whole with water.
3. Avoid a heavy, fatty meal, which can delay the effect for an hour or more.
4. Keep alcohol low, and avoid grapefruit juice.

The effect usually starts within about 30 minutes to an hour and lasts around 4 hours. It is taken only when needed, not daily, so do not take a tablet every day just in case.

Precautions

Tell your doctor about your medical history before you start. Take particular care, and ask your doctor first, if you have:

• heart disease, low blood pressure, or a recent stroke or heart attack;
• liver or kidney problems;
• a blood disorder such as sickle cell anaemia, leukaemia or myeloma, or a bleeding disorder;
• a stomach ulcer;
• a deformed penis or Peyronie’s disease;
• an inherited eye condition such as retinitis pigmentosa, or have had sudden vision loss.

Older men are not exempt from these precautions, and in fact they are more likely to need a lower dose. The tablet is for adult men only. It is not for women or children.

Drug interactions

Never take it with nitrate medicines for chest pain, such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, or with riociguat. The combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Also ask your doctor first if you take alpha-blockers or other blood pressure medicines, HIV medicines such as ritonavir, or antifungals and antibiotics such as ketoconazole and erythromycin.

Side effects of Kamagra Gold 50mg

Most side effects are mild and short-lived:

• headache and dizziness
• flushing
• indigestion or diarrhoea
• a stuffy nose or nosebleed
• disturbed or blurred vision
• trouble sleeping

Get medical help straight away for chest pain, a fast or irregular heartbeat, fainting, sudden loss of vision or hearing, blood in the urine, or an erection lasting more than 4 hours.

What if you take too much?

Taking more than directed can cause fainting, light-headedness, and a painful or prolonged erection. If this happens, get medical help straight away.
