Description

About Vidalista 10 mg

Vidalista 10 mg is a tablet containing 10 mg of tadalafil, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. Tadalafil is the active ingredient in Cialis and belongs to the PDE-5 inhibitor group of medicines. Vidalista is made by Centurion Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. in India.

Vidalista 10 mg tadalafil tablets

ED means a man has trouble getting or keeping an erection that is firm enough for intercourse. It is a common condition, and it is not a sign of weakness. Causes can be physical, psychological or both, and it often improves once the cause is found and treated.

Tadalafil stands out among the PDE-5 inhibitors because it stays in the body for a long time. A single dose can remain active for up to 36 hours, which is why it is sometimes called the “weekend pill”. This gives some couples more flexibility, because the timing of the tablet matters less.

10 mg is the usual on-demand starting dose in approved tadalafil labeling, and the dose can be raised to 20 mg if needed. Tadalafil is a prescription medicine in most countries, so a doctor should decide whether it suits you.

Other strengths include Vidalista 5mg, which is used once daily, Vidalista 20mg and the chewable Vidalista CT 20mg. A similar brand is Tadalista, and you can see more in our tadalafil range and under generic Cialis.

Uses of Vidalista 10 mg

Vidalista 10 mg contains tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor primarily used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. It improves blood flow to the penis, helping men achieve and maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.

Main uses of Vidalista 10 mg

  • Treats erectile dysfunction (ED): Helps men who have difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection.
  • Improves erectile function: Supports better penile blood flow during sexual stimulation.
  • Supports sexual confidence: May help reduce concerns related to erection difficulties.
  • Helps maintain erections: Can make it easier to maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity.
  • Provides a longer duration of action: Tadalafil may remain effective for up to 36 hours, although this does not mean an erection lasts that long.

How Vidalista 10 mg works

Blood flow and the PDE-5 enzyme

An erection depends on blood flow into the penis. When a man is sexually aroused, nerves release nitric oxide. This raises a chemical messenger called cyclic GMP, which relaxes the muscle in the walls of the penile arteries. The arteries widen, blood fills the spongy tissue, and the penis becomes firm.

An enzyme called PDE-5 breaks cyclic GMP down. Tadalafil blocks PDE-5, so cyclic GMP lasts longer, the arteries stay relaxed, and blood flow stays higher. This makes an erection easier to get and to keep, as long as the man is sexually stimulated.

Why it lasts longer

Tadalafil is cleared from the body slowly. That is why one tablet can stay active for up to 36 hours, while sildenafil and vardenafil usually act for about 4 to 5 hours. It does not mean you will have an erection for 36 hours. The tablet only helps when you are aroused, and its effect gradually fades.

Dosage and administration of Vidalista 10 mg

Vidalista 10 mg contains tadalafil, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. The appropriate dosage depends on individual health conditions, other medications, and treatment response.

  • Recommended dose: The usual starting dose of tadalafil for as-needed treatment of ED is 10 mg, taken as directed by a healthcare professional. See the tadalafil summary of product characteristics for the labeled doses.
  • How to take: Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food.
  • Timing: Take it at least 30 minutes before anticipated sexual activity, following your prescriber’s instructions.
  • Frequency: Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours unless specifically directed by a qualified healthcare professional.
  • Sexual stimulation: Sexual stimulation is necessary for tadalafil to help produce an erection.
  • Dose adjustment: A healthcare professional may adjust the dose based on effectiveness, side effects, and medical history.

Drug interactions

Tadalafil can interact with other medicines. Tell your doctor and pharmacist about everything you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, herbal remedies and recreational drugs.

  • Nitrates (such as nitroglycerin and isosorbide) and recreational “poppers” (amyl and butyl nitrite): never combine. They can cause a dangerous fall in blood pressure, and the interaction can last for more than a day with tadalafil.
  • Riociguat: never combine.
  • Alpha-blockers and other blood pressure medicines: can lower blood pressure further. A doctor should supervise.
  • Ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir and clarithromycin: raise tadalafil levels, so a much lower dose is needed.
  • Rifampicin, phenytoin and carbamazepine: can reduce tadalafil levels and weaken its effect.
  • Other PDE-5 inhibitors (sildenafil, vardenafil) and other ED treatments: do not combine.

Side effects are usually mild to moderate and pass within a day or two. Not everyone has them.

  • Do not use it if you take nitrates or riociguat.
  • Do not use it if you have had a heart attack in the last 3 months or a stroke in the last 6 months.
  • Do not use it if you have unstable angina, serious heart failure, very low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease.
  • Tell your doctor if you have an inherited eye disease such as retinitis pigmentosa, or have ever lost vision suddenly.

  • It is for men aged 18 and over only. It is not for women or children.

Heart health

Sexual activity is exercise, and some heart conditions make it unsafe. Your doctor should check your heart before you start. If you get chest pain during sex, stop and seek help. Do not use a nitrate tablet to treat the pain, unless a doctor tells you it is safe.

Driving and machinery

Tadalafil can cause dizziness and affect vision. Do not drive or use machinery until you know how it affects you.

Storage

  • Keep the tablets at room temperature, away from heat, damp and direct sunlight.
  • Keep them in the original pack until use.
  • Keep them out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Do not use them after the expiry date.

Frequently asked questions

Is Vidalista 10 mg the same as Cialis?

Both contain tadalafil and work in the same way. Cialis is the original brand, while Vidalista is a generic made by a different company.

How long does it take to work?

Usually within 30 minutes to an hour, with sexual stimulation. It can take a few attempts to judge the effect.

Does it really last 36 hours?

A dose of tadalafil can stay active for up to 36 hours, but this does not mean a constant erection. You still need to be aroused.

Can I take it every day?

A 10 mg tablet is meant for use when needed, no more than once in 24 hours. A daily regimen uses a lower dose such as 5 mg, and a doctor must decide it.

Can I drink alcohol with it?

Small amounts are usually fine. Heavy drinking raises the risk of dizziness and low blood pressure, and can reduce the effect.

Should I take 20 mg instead?

Only if your doctor advises it. 10 mg is the usual starting dose, and 20 mg is the maximum.

Does it treat low sex drive or premature ejaculation?

No. It treats erectile dysfunction only.

Is it safe with heart medicines?

Not always. It must never be used with nitrates or riociguat, and other heart medicines need a doctor’s advice.

Is it approved?

Tadalafil is approved by regulators as the brand Cialis. That does not automatically cover every generic brand, so ask your doctor or pharmacist about the product you have.

Do I need a prescription?

In most countries tadalafil is a prescription medicine, so use it only as directed by a doctor and check your local rules.
